The Balcony
The Balcony
The ivy creeps along the wall
climbing to its place of duty
surrounding as a parapet
where you once stood
in stately beauty

An empty place this is to me
as I would upwards view
hoping for a glimpse
of my love lost
without you

Something about this sacred place
still makes my heart to melt
and makes me deeply  wish
that I had just once
spoken how I felt
