The brush flows from the palette to the work in a frenzy to and fro. The hand is quick and deftly strokes, bright colors seem to glow.
Another day, the work is slow, with palest shades of blue; reflections of the heart within, and color "drab" the hue.
A spring day sees the color green, touched here and there with red, and painted yellow daffodils, on the canvas spread.
The grief of gray may shade the day, and leave the canvas bare, but thoughts of love and hope of faith will place new meaning there.
Oh the the days of happiness; Oh to the days of woe; Oh to the melancholy heart, that plagues the artist so.
Oh to the one who loves me, who shares my joy or grief; and to this melancholy heart, whispers sweet relief.
