"Tears"
There are tears of joy, and tears of pain,
and tears of grief that fall as rain;
but tears that fall from a broken heart',
shall forever, pillows stain.

She has that certain elegance
everywhere she goes:
and beams that very radiant smile'
that warms me as it glows

She has that sparkle in her eye
that sets my heart aloft to fly.
I wouldn't have to be too smart,
to see she is a work of art.

But there could never ever be
artist's brush or pen with ink;
to portray her heavenly essence,
nor camera, I think.

For it is with my heart I see,
the wonder of her being,
and ask why she never looks at me?
Is she just "hard of seeing?"

Everywhere I go, I see couples,
Walking hand in hand'
Laughing, playing,
loving in varied ways.

I watch with envious heart
remembering lost love
and joyous times

Have you like me endured
the heartaches of a hundred
broken dreams?

Have you passed through the storms of life,
and fallen apart at the seams?

Do you seek the sun's one ray of hope...
or the promise of a rainbow?
