Dancing by Moonlight
Dancing by Moonlight
The moon shines bright above us,
on a star filled summer night.
The stars in patterns cross the sky,
shining, oh, so bright.

A silver glow falls across your face,
revealing features fine;
Your hair glistens in the light,
your eyes are cast on mine.

A distant song begins to play,
with melody so sweet.
Our hearts are lifted by the tune,
and fairly skip one beat.

Within my arms I draw you close,
and take a step then two;
My steps flow right together,
in perfect time with you.

Our feet are light and barely touch
the softness of the turf;
and hearts are made much lighter,
as they rise above the earth.

Just hold me near and feel the dance
as I embrace you so,
and sense the music in your heart,
and such a pleasure know...

Abandoned to the sweetest tune,
enthralled in sensuous bliss,
surrendered to the feelings
as you receive my kiss.

So dance with me til morning light
and watch with me the dawn
as sun's first rays shall find us
still dancing on and on.
