Friend or Foe?
Friend or Foe?
Let the giants come
I will slay them with a lance
and monsters even yet shall fall
with demons from the darkest realm
I will slay them all

In the darkest night
I shall fear no unseen thing
no uncertainties shall overtake
my wary soul in hours of sleep
Peace is not at stake.

Is this friend or foe
that beckons through your eyes
and now my spirit seeks to taunt
calling from my fortress gate
My very soul to haunt.

Merest glimpse of love
that tempts to steal my fate
Is this my heart... or yours compelling
drawing from these chasm walls
Opposition quelling

Once again I ask
a friend or foe indeed?
Will two be one as hearts are placed
in trust, our hearts embraced...
or shall one be erased?

No two faced dragon
ever so clever could sing
such melodious, harmonic chord
and by such cunning ruse
stay the axe and still the sword
