Have brush...Will Travel
The following is a small representation of the sign and commercial artwork I have done. I have been successfully unemployed for most of the past 30 years. I decided at the beginning of my life that I would not take a job doing something I did not enjoy. Commercial art and sign making provided me the means to earn a profitable living and an outlet for artistic self expression. Most of my customers are also my best friends. I especially enjoy antique sign restoration and mural work. If you are in a position to require services which I am able to offer, I hope you will send me an e-mail, outlining the possibilities.
This van belongs to a couple of my good friends, who own a greenhouse and landscaping business.
You can see here the before and after shots of the project. It took plenty of sanding and elbow grease to get this transformation to take place, but the efforts were rewarded by the attention this vehicle currently gets each time it rolls out of the driveway.
The van is spray painted with acrylic enamel and the graphics are handlettered. Smaller copy is done using computer cut vinyl, with hand cut shades.
The above sign utilizes a cut out panel for the "Superior" copy, which is raised from the background. The Sea Gull is carved from high density foamboard. The border is hemp rope, as well as the carved post wraps.
