It was a blue rose she sought
for love had come to nought

Given once, the rose of red
lay now on the counter dead

The yellow rose beside it still
all brown, withered deathly ill

and memories of roses white,
purity of one special night

Now she seeks the rose of blue,
In memory, my friend... of you.

Promise Broken
Promise Broken
The old quote says, "It is better to have loved and lost than to never have loved at all"  This is very little consolation to those who have been betrayed in love.  There are days the heart would break at such betrayal, and healing is often a long time coming.  Our love is often selfish and forgiveness is not easy when this is so.  Learning to forgive may be the essence of love in its most pure form, and will provide the only foundation for personal recovery.
